New Frontier in Disease Research: Epigenetics
Dr. Alfredo Galvez, graduate of the University of the Philippines, is being honored as an outstanding alumni of U of P for his discovery of Lunasin (meaning “to heal”) a natural peptide shown to tackle serious diseases.
As the father of “epigenetics” he has done over 17 years of research at Cal Berkeley and UC Davis. Lunasin has massive applications in the health field as Dr. Galvez is proving that we are no longer “stuck” with our genetic makeup. Through his years of research, Dr. Galvez is proving that Lunasin has the ability to “turn off” the bad genes in our bodies and “turn on” the good genes. So, if one has a particular disease that runs in the family, Lunasin can alter the genes so that cells are not receptive to that illness.
“I am excited, says Galvez, because people will get the full benefit of Lunasin now that there is a bioactive form.” In further studies, Lunasin is shown to reduce cholesterol; all over body inflammation; promote weight loss and lower blood sugars.
Dr. Galvez will be conducting two free seminars while in the Philippines; January 27th at the Crown Regency Hotel in Cebu and January 28th in Bacolod at L'Fisher Hotel. He will be discussing the life-altering effects of Lunasin and its impact on serious health issues. You can register below or can provide your contact information for future events.
